Weekday Walk

It's nice to come home while the sun's still out!
Lovely flowers everywhere!

Blue sky and green grass!

Everything smells nice and fresh.

Spring makes me just happy!

Cherry Blossoms

 

Our favorite street with cherry blossoms! 

Well, Kaiser never looks up...

But I'm sure he can smell the sweet scent of the blossoms!

Spring is Coming

It's still chilly and I wear scarf and gloves
but spring is slowly coming!
 

The sidewalk is dressed up a bit and cherry blossoms are starting to bloom!

And hey, it was almost 7 pm 
and I could still take photos outside with no flashlight! Lovely!

 

Oh do you wonder what Kaiser is doing in this picture?

Well, I put a piece of cookie on the tree 

and Kaiser needed to jump high to get it! 

Can you see where the cookie is??? 

After several tries, he's got it!

Feeling Red

Take a picture of your dog at a point of local interest near you.
Note that local can be some place that you visit near you,
and that it doesn't have to be a huge monument.
It can be something quirky or fun that's unique to your area.

Granville Island is one of the touristy places here in Vancouver that we can walk to.
It's actually a peninsula and it has artistic shops, restaurants,

a public market, a kids market, a local beer brewery etc.
Among all the attractive small joints,

Kaiser's favorite is this small pet store called "Woofles And Meowz".

They have very fancy handmade treats freshly baked at the store.

When we got there, the store was filled with a sweet aroma of the cranberry cookies which just came out of the oven!

Sure I got a couple for Kaiser for being a cute model!

Daily Dog Challenge - 119. 2/27 "Seeing Red"

It's Monday again, but that doesn't mean you have to suffer from the blues.
Take a picture with your dog that features some red and cheer up!
We're one day closer to the next weekend.

We found this huge red shutter at the fire station in our neighborhood.
The colour was so vivid and gorgeous. It must be newly painted.
Luckily, a fire truck was parked just in front of the building so...

 

we took a picture!
Kaiser will be happy to become a local firehouse dog!

Kaiser's Ways to Get Around the City

 As an urban dog Kaiser uses public transportation to get around the city
and this is how he travels.
Today we took a bus to go to one of the dog parks rather far from our place.
He's very quiet and people usually think that we're just dragging a suitcase.
After a while some people notice that we actually have a dog in it.
They loooooove looking at and talking about this little guy in a carry bag.
From inside of the bag he's seeing things differently for sure!

Kaiser has been trained to sit in a bicycle basket since he was 2 month-old.
We go everywhere like this and get tons of attention!

Shadow Play

The daylight hours are slowly getting longer but it's still rainy here in Vancouver.
We cherish the day like this and wish spring would come soon.

BTW, don't you think Kaiser's shadow in this picture looks like a labrador?
Ha ha ha!

Speaking of shadows, this one is my favorite...



This was taken in 2007. Kaiser was still 1 year-old.
I love his facial expression!
His shadow here looks like a boxer in a fighting pose!
I just wish our shadows were not in the picture...
Or maybe we should've posed like a boxer fighting against Kaiser and a referee ; )

Purple Wall

 This is the outside of the chocolate shop chain called Purdy's near our place. 

(maybe Canadian?) 

Purple is their brand color and I rememberd this wall!

 Luckly this wall had a small pit for Kaiser to sit!

  He was staring at me or the cookie I was holding most of the time but only for a few seconds he looked away. 

And that made a good shot.

 I don't know what he was looking at in this picture 

but he soon looked at me for some treats!
